Bild: Frank Muytjens is wanted.
How are you dear friend?
It’s been a while. Too long I would say. And you are to blame.
A lot of things have happened since we last spoke.
For instance, H&M opened up men only store at Normalmstorg. The place is full of sport coats, ties and button down shirts. Afordable mens wear and it has become very popular. No doubt about it. The thing is, most pieces look weird and the quality sucks.
Tommy Hilfiger has a flagship store now as well. Tommy freaking Hilfiger. Smack in the middle of Stockholm. And I have the say, the store looks good from the outside. I haven’t been inside yet because I don’t want to dissapoint you. But soon I won’t have a choice.
I can wait. Believe me. But I can’t wait forever. I’m longing for a carefully crafted herringbone tweed jacket, a pair of button fly indigo washed jeans touched by Frank Muytjens. I want some god damn chambray. Is that too much to ask?
And please don’t come sayin you are shipping to Europe now and that I can shop from Mr Porter online. That is not the same thing!
I want a J.Crew store in Stockholm. And I want it now.
We had it all figured out remember. Or maybe your social media-people haven’t even visited our little Facebook group? Well, the location we selected for you guys is gone now. Fenix Bar was the place. An a-list adress on Götgatan that is now going to be converted in to a Starbucks. Stockholm is about to become one giant latte ordering-counter. This is one of the reasons why we need you.
Sweden needs J.Crew.
I found another place where you could open the store. Humlegårdsgatan 13 on Östermalm. A happening neighbourhood that is under transformation. You will be close to bars, hotels and great restaurants. It’s a great spot!
I still want you here. And I think I can speak for the rest of the 300 other Swedish men that have joined this group in order to get you guys to open a Swedish store.
So what do you say?
